/Kazakhstan today, January 15, 04/ - Kazpost JSC has been given a status of a national postal operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A corresponding decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 31, 2003 states about this fact.

The document also provides for objectives of Kazpost as a national operator. Thus, one of its goals is to provide every citizen of every populated center of Kazakhstan with basic postal services, which comply with requirements of normative legislative acts of an authorized body in the field of mail-carrying services. Other goals include rendering of a special telecommunication services, including acceptance, storage, transportation and delivery of a top secret correspondence of state bodies and special carryings that involve transportation of precious metals, jewelry, equipment, facilities and spare parts of a military nature, as well as information about state secrets and its carriers.

Kazpost is also aimed at providing financial services taking advantage of its postal network and affiliates in compliance with legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
