Global demand for oil in 2003 will grow by 0.3 m. barrels a day

/Kazakhstan today, August 20, 03/ - Global demand for oil will increased this year by 0.3 m. barrels a day to 78.09 m. barrels. The report of OPEC's experts, which has ben published in OPEC's official site, says about it.

In analysts' opinion, such the development of events at the world energy markets will be promoted by the forecasted serious growth of economy in such states as Russia, China, Near-Eastern and Pacific countries.

In 2004, the report says, growth of demand for crude oil will equal as the whole to 1.16 m. barrels a day, and total consumption of oil - 79.25 m. barrels every day.

OPEC's experts also note that within the last month such countries-members of the world oil cartel as Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Kuwaiti and Algeria have increased production and export of their crude oil, and Indonesia, Iran and Qatar have decreased rates and volumes of oil extraction.
