Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia funds Almaty bus fleet renewal
/KASE, May 3, 2019/ – Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (Almaty), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release of May 3, 2019:

Sberbank in conjunction with EDF Damu JSC has financed a large project of Almaty City Bus Fleet No. 2 LLP. The total lending amount of the company amounted to more than KZT 1.8 billion. As part of this project the bus fleet's management has purchased 48 modern low-floor city buses of the Chinese company Yutong, equipped with wear-resistant flooring, anti-vandal passenger seats, landing ramp for a wheelchair and video cameras.
The project aim is to launch new modern buses under three socially significant routes in Almaty: №67, №81, №31. A significant increase in passenger traffic is expected in these areas due to the provision of 100% regularity of traffic on these routes.
"New joint large-scale initiatives with Almaty City Bus Fleet No. 2 LLP which has an impeccable business reputation are a serious step towards strengthening our bilateral relations. Thanks to the successful implementation of this project, the bus fleet of the southern capital has been replenished with new modern and comfortable buses that meet high environmental standards," Yeldar Tenizbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of SB Sberbank JSC, said.
The project of Almaty City Bus Fleet No. 2 LLP is included in the state support and development program Business Road Map 2020 for the purpose of subsidizing interest rate.
