/IRBIS, June 27, 02/ - Today Halyk bank of Kazakhstan OJSC (Almaty) distributed a press release. There was informed about issuing of the millionth plastic payment card by the bank. According to report, today bank issues cards of international payment systems VISA International, Master Card International, Altyn local card. It is also an authorized agent of American Express. For its clients the bank provides 350 cash dispensers, 584 centers of cash payments and 622 trade and service centers in main cities and large settlements of Kazakhstan. In total 1,367 POS-terminals and 968 imprinters are functioning.

Halyk bank of Kazakhstan OJSC issued the first card in the beginning of October 1996 under international payment system MasterCard. Today 990th people use the payment cards of the bank. Many of them have few cards.
