Volume of CS transactions at KASE reached $505.8m in year 2001 and increased 3.7 times relative to year 2000
/IRBIS, Jan 3, 02/ - During the year 2001 total volume of corporate securities (CS) transactions made at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) reached an equivalent of $505.8m, or KZT74,784.4m and compared to the last year increased by $367.3m (KZT55,036.6m) or 3.65 (3.79) times.

During primary floatation at exchange specialized trades the most active based on volume of made transactions in 2001 were bonds of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy RSE of second issue (TMJLb2). Volume of deals on them in sector of primary floatation of KASE totaled for $20,624.0 th. or KZT3,034.0m that accounts for 44.1% pf total volume of exchange primary floatation.
In sale-purchase sector for past year the most tradable among shares were common inscribed shares of Bank TuranAlem OJSC (BTAS; deals volume - $37,711.3 th. or KZT5,541.0m; share in the sector - 18.5%), among bonds - bonds of KazTransOil CJSC of first issue (KZTOb;
$17,193.2 th. or KZT2,518.5m; 8.44%).
In repo sector in 2001 the most actively among shares used by brokers were common inscribed shares of Bank TuranAlem OJSC (BTAS; $80.243.1 th. or KZT11,870.5m; 42.2%), among bonds - securities of VITA LLP (now VITA OJSC) of second issue (VITAb2; $8,896.8 th. or KZT1,299.3m; 4.7%).
