/IRBIS, July 17, 2001/ - With reference to Makhambet Batyrbayev, Kazakhoil- Emba senior executive GSRW informed, that oil reserves at the Kisimbai field, the Atyrau region, come to at least 20m tonnes as opposed to the previous estimates of 10m tonnes. Specialists of Kazakhoil-Emba drew this conclusion having conducted a 3D seismic survey. The study resulted in receiving detailed structural layouts of productive horizons. The well drilled after the seismic survey provided the flow rate of 20 tonnes debit per day as compared to the maximum of 10 tonnes debit at those previously operated. According to Makhamet Batyrbayev, the company decided to conduct the 3D seismic survey at its other fields, including Prorva, Kenbai and Eastern Makat.
