/IRBIS, Sep.28, 00/ - On September 27, 2000 "Eurasia" foundation held a seminar devoted to signing agreements on provision of grants. One of the grants was given to the project of the training center of the Information agency for financial markets "IRBIS" (Almaty). This is the second grant received by the agency from this Foundation. The first one was given to publish the book on the stock market.

The purpose of the project is to adapt the existing electronic trade system of the Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) to train the specialist. The participants of the project - the specialists of the agency "IRBIS, the KASE, consulting-training center "SANA-MARKET" (Almaty) and the company Actis Systems Asia (Almaty) will set up a training module of the KASE electronic trade system, expand its functions with reference systems; create and furnish the training room.

"Eurasia" foundation was established in 1993 to facilitate the development of democratic and marketing institutions in CIS countries. The main means of achieving this goal is the program of small grants, that match the needs of the enterprises and organizations in these countries. The activities the Fund are based on the principles of an equal opportunity.
