UAE agrees to increase oil supplies to the world markets, but only after the decision of OPEC

/IRBIS, July 13, 00/ - ITAR-TASS informs, with the reference to the minister of oil and natural resources, Obeid ben an-Naseri, that United Arab Emirates (UAE) agree to increase oil supplies to the world markets, but only after a collective decision of OPEC.

He is said to have had talks with the president of OPEC conference, the minister of energy and mining industry of Venezuela, Ali Rodriguez, who is visiting oil countries.

It is said that along with the decision of OPEC to increase the quota by 708 th. barrels a day another decision was made in Vienna on June 21 on additional oil supplies to the world market if the per barrel price remains above $28 for 20 business days.

UAE is said to be the third among oil countries in oil reserves (98 bln barrels), with the first being Saudi Arabia (262 bln barrels) and the second Iraq (113 bln barrels).
