NC KMG could transfer its share in development of Kashagan to EP KMG
/IRBIS, May 26, 2011/ - National company KazMunaiGas does not preclude the transfer of shares in the oil and gas development of the Kashagan field to its subsidiary structure of JSC Exploration and Production KMG, the head of KMG Kairgeldy Kabyldin said today, IA News-Kazakhstan reported.
"Why not? .. - As an option (the transfer of shares in the project) is considered, but such a plan is not approved, "- said Kabyldin to reporters, responding to a question.
It was previously reported that NC KMG and EP KMG signed a memorandum on the possible involvement of EP KMG in offshore blocks in the Caspian Sea. In particular, the memorandum provides for KMG access to detailed geological, geophysical and economic and financial data on a number of oil and gas projects including those located in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. The list of projects includes, inter alia, marine components - Zhambyl, Ustyurt ("Dead Kultuk"), Zhenis, Godin, C-1 and C-2 - as well as Urikhtau.
