/IRBIS, November 23, 2010/ - The Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan LLP Kar-Tel (sales brand Beeline) announced the launch of third generation network in Almaty and Astana, according to today's press office LLP Kar-Tel.

As indicated, November 22, Beeline has launched a test operation of the base stations of third generation communication in the largest cities of the republic - Astana and Almaty. From December 1 to begin commercial operation and access to 3G will be open to all residents and visitors of the two cities.

A total of Astana and Almaty to December 1 will not work less than 90 3G base stations in the UMTS standard in the range of 2.1 MHz. Equipment for them to put the company Huawei.

Indicated that on January 1, 2011 Committee of Communications and Informatization will issue permits for the use of radio spectrum of 3G on a permanent basis.
