National Company KazMunayGas (Kazakhstan) and Atyrau Refinery Plant conference with Kazakhstan providers under the project "Construction of plant on aromatic hydrocarbon production on Atyrau Refinery Plant"
/KASE, July 21, 10/ - National Company KazMunayGas (Astana), bonds of which are listed in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), informed that on July 21, in Atyrau, NC KazMunaiGas and Atyrau Refinery Plant held the conference for Kazakhstan providers of goods and services under the strategic investment project "Construction of plant on aromatic hydrocarbon production on Atyrau Refinery Plant. In the conference shall participate representatives of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, the agency on local content development, Atyrau Akimat, the company Sinopec Engineering, OGCC KazStroyService, machinery companies of Kazakhstan, etc.
The goal is to ensure placement of orders of large Kazakhstan machinery companies and producers of electric and technical equipment for this project implementation.
During the conference it was emphasized that at detailed assessment of technical and economic proposals of potential strategic partners the attention was paid at Kazakhstan content. At this the portion of local content was forecasted based on to the new method, according to which its approval require certificates CT-КZ.
Attraction of Kazakhstan providers of goods and services and services of Sinopec Engineering makes up 30%. Thus, according to the signed agreement, OGCC KazStroyService shall provide part of services, procure equipment and materials to the amount of USD362,000 th (KZT54,300,000 th.).
In general, during the construction it is planned to procure in Kazakhstan companies the equipment to the amount of USD58,155 th. (KZT8,723,178 th.), or 16%; materials - USD52,342 th. (KZT7,851,362 th.), or 18%; work and services - USD111,865 th. (KZT33,354,341 th.), or 29%.
In order tom involve Kazakhstan specialists in 2010 shall be created 270 work places; in 2011 according to the plan 1,500 work places; in 2012 - 1,800 places;
in 2013 - 900 places.
Design and survey works shall start in the fourth quarter of 2010. equipment procurement shall mainly be made in the second half of 2011 through tenders based on transparency, openness and equality.
It is known that the agreement between Atyrau Refinery Plant and Sinopec Engineering (China) has been signed for complete construction of aromatic hydrocarbons production complex to the amount of USD1,040,000,000 (one billion forty million) on October 29, 2009.
