OPEC basket price at March 3 made $ 76.52 a barrel

/IRBIS, March 4, 2010/ - The cost of the OPEC basket, consisting of 12 varieties of oil, as at March 3, 2010 would amount to $ 76.52 per barrel, - it's added in the report published today by the cartel.

In assessing the value of the OPEC basket oil price accounted for the following grades of oil: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE and Merey (Venezuela).

The highest price for a barrel of oil OPEC was established July 3, 2008 and amounted to $140.73 a barrel. Following the 2009 average price per barrel was half the maximum - $61.06 per barrel.

Recall that on March 3 the outcome of trades cost of barrel of oil for delivery in April 2010 on ICE (London) was $ 79.25 on the NYMEX (New York) - $ 80.87.
