Indian Punjab National bank has bought a controlling stake of Danabank
/IRBIS, February 8, 2010/ - Indian State Punjab National Bank acquired a controlling stake of Danabank, - said at a briefing Mr.Timur Kuanyshev Chairman Investment Company BATT LLP today.

Transaction documents were signed Kuanysheva, co-chair of the board of directors of the company Alfa Kuanysheva, chairman of the board of Danabank by Becket Kopbosynov, Executive director of Punjab National Bank Paid Nagesh (Nagesh Paida) and Head of Indian Bank in Kazakhstan Akhtar Farid (Farid Akhtar).
"We agreed that we work in the long term, that within the next few years we will be in top ten banks in Kazakhstan, that if Bank (PNB) will be interesting to go to other CIS countries, the base will be a bank in Kazakhstan", - said Kuanyshev.
