/IRBIS, November 11, 09/ - World primary energy demand will grow by 1.5% per year by 2030 is projected to rise by 40% to 16.8 billion tons of oil equivalent, specified in the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA) World Energy Outlook 2009.

"This growth is largely occurring in developing Asian countries, followed by Middle East countries. Projected demand growth is lower than projected WEO-2008, which is largely due to the effects of the crisis at the beginning of the projection period, as well as under influence of new government programs taken over the past year", - stated in the report.

Following in 2009 according to preliminary data falling demand for energy will be 2.0%. In 2010-2015 demand growth will resume at an average of 2.5% per year.
