/IRBIS, October 12, 09/ - Consumer price index in Germany in September 2009 decreased by 0.3%, compare with the same period of last year, reported on October 9, by Federal Statistical Agency of Germany. This is the second negative change in the level of inflation observed in that year (last time in July 2009 - 0.5%).

Compare with Aug 2009 the consumer price index decreased by 0.4%. Compare with the previous month, prices of fuel oil dropped to 4.4%, diesel up to 2.7% (including gasoline quality: -2.8%, diesel fuel: -2.4%).
