/INTERFAX KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, 27.07.06/ - The president of the company Nikola Popovich informed the Interfax Kazakhstan agency that Kazzinc JSC is planning to produce at year 2006 288 th. tons of metallic zinc.

By his information, the company also intends to produce 117 th. tons of metallic lead, 64 th. tons of copper in concentrate, 5730 kg of affinated gold, 179700 kg of affinated silver.

As the interlocutor of the agency noticed, that realizing of these plans company is planning by increase of volumes of "extraction of raw materials from mining and technogenic fields" till 8.1 m. tons in comparison with 7.2 m. tons in year 2005.

N. Popovich also informed that 99% of the produced zinc the company exports to China, England, Spain, Italy, Poland, and Turkey.

As it was informed, at year 2005 the company Kazzinc had produced 287,198 tons of zinc, 88,596 tons of lead, 75,792 tons of copper.

Production of affinated gold (without including tolling) made up last year 164,435 Troy ounces, affinated silver (also without tolling) - 5,377.761 ounces.

In the structure of company's profit to the last year 24.775 related to zinc, 24.77% to copper, 15.75% to gold, 9.65% to silver, 9.14% to lead.

Kazzinc is the large integrated producer of zinc with large part of attendant production of copper, precious metals and lead, developer of entrails mainky in the Eastern-Kazakhstan region.

The Swiss Glencore International AG owns and manages the 99% of Kazzinc JSC99% shares by its daughter companies.
