On May 29, 2006 Kazakhtelecom JSC (Kazakhstan) to hold prescheduled general shareholders meeting

/KASE, April 27, 06/ - Kazakhtelecom JSC (Astana), whose shares are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) official "A" listing category, has informed KASE that on May 29, 2006 at 15:00 it will hold the prescheduled general meeting of shareholders, called by the initiative of big shareholder of the company - company Bodam B.V (Amsterdam, Netherlands). The question of cooperation between Kazakhtelecom JSC and Kazakhstan holding on states assets managing Samruk JSC will be considered at the shareholders meeting. Meeting holding: Astana, 31, Abai Ave., meeting hall of Kazakhtelecom JSC. The registration of shareholders will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. on May 29 of 2006. List of shareholders, who have right to participate in the meeting, will be complied as of April 29 of 2006. In case of quorum absence the next meeting will be held on May 30 of 2006 at 11:00 by the address, mentioned above. Shareholders may get information on the agenda not later than 10 days to the date of meeting holding by address: Astana, 31, Abai Ave. Kazakhtelecom notifies that agenda may be changed and supplemented in order, established by acting legislation and the Company's Charter.
