Within the first 3 months of 2006 volume of GS purchase and sale transactions on KASE did not exceed KZT118.8 bn. and fell by 40.2%

/IRBIS, Aslan Juasov, April 3, 06/ - Within the first three months of 2006, volume of government securities (GS) purchase and sale transactions made on Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), including bonds of domestic executive bodies, did not exceed KZT118.8 bn. ($909.8 m.) and decreased by 40.2% relative to similar period of last year. In the whole 2005 the volume of corresponding transactions on GS on KASE was KZT631.8 bn. ($4,754.2 m.).
