/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, December 8, 05/ - Group of Kazakhstan parliamentarians insists on inspection of activity of national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas from controlling state bodies. Deputies Bulat Abishev and Shamsat Isabekov promulgated corresponding official inquiry in address of managers of returning board for control over execution of the republican budget and general prosecutor's office of Kazakhstan on the behalf of parliamentarians group on plenary session of majilis and senate (lower and upper houses of parliament) last Wednesday and Thursday correspondingly. Initiators of inquiry are interested in expediency of essential expenses of the national company for managing staff, and also financial operations, due to which, in the opinion of deputies, state budget will not get some definite amounts. Having analyzed financial activity of KazMunaiGas, authors of inquiry note: "Net income of this company is KZT32 bn. It could be seemed we can only be glad for this... However not! The report notes, that general administrative expenses were KZT30 bn. 448 m. 82 th., out of them KZT11 bn. 250 m. - management's honorarium". According to data of parliamentarians, "this is higher than expenses of the republican budget, put for 2006 to keep administration of president, parliament and prime-minister's chancellery, together, more than twice". Besides, the inquiry notes, "we cannot wonder, if not to say more, how this company disposes royalty, paid for entrails usage in natural shape". Authors of inquiry asserts, that "to decrease price level for oil products (in internal market of Kazakhstan. - "IF-K") in urgent order in October transition of royalty was made in the size of 67 th. tons of crude oil for processing of Shymkent PR at price $220 for tone (taking into account VAT)". According to their data, "this step will cost the budget almost $15 m., because world quotation for oil of Brent mark in October was $58 for barrel, i.e. $452 for tone". In case such oil supply continues to Atyrau and Shymkent PR, by oriented calculations of deputies, in 2006 losses of the budget may exceed $1.2 bn. [2005-12-08]
