Investments of SSOMPIU JSC (Kazakhstan) in Kacharsk ore control will be $36.7 m. in 2005

/KASE, November 21, 05/ - Sokolovsk-Sarbay ore mining and processing industrial unit JSC (SSOMPIU JSC, Kostanai obl.), whose shares are included in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) official "A" listing category, spread message, which says, that its investment program for the current year is $90.0 m., out of them $36.7 m. - investments in Kacharsk ore control. Main directions of investments are acquisition of mining equipment, automobile and railroad technique and development of transport scheme. The message says, that at present time Kacharsk ore control has already received five heavy haulers BelAZ-75145, out of which three dump trucks has already been running in Kacharsk open pit, assemblage of two others is coming to an end. It is expected, that by the end of the year seven more technological units will be received. At present time autopark of Kacharsk ore control one hundred percent consists of dump trucks of BelAZ mark. In the beginning of November representatives of Byelorussian car factory visited SSOMPIU JSC with a view jointly with specialists of motor and tractor control of SSOMPIU JSC to introduce a number of improvements in constructive development of large dump trucks, for their further exploitation in conditions of mining production. Byelorussian specialists concluded preliminary agreement about operation in SSOMPIU JSC of official dealer of BelAZ, which will organize service support of their automobiles and will establish supplying them with spare parts. Primary activities of SSOMPIU JSC - mining and processing of iron ore, limestone, dolomite; production and sale of iron ore pellets, iron ore concentrate, ballast, lime; organization of complex usage of mineral raw stuff, including usage of old raw stuff and other activities according to the Company's charter and available licenses.
