Citigroup и ABN AMRO bank will be lead-managers of planned eurobonds issue of Alliance Bank

commercial Alliance bank chose Citigroup and ABN AMRO bank as lead-
mangers of the second emission of five-year eurobonds.
"In nearest two months we (Alliance bank. - "IF-K") planned the second
flotation of eurobonds. As lead-managers of the issue Citigroup and ABN
AMRO bank were chosen", - chairman of the board of Alliance bank Zhomart
Ertayev announced at press conference on Thursday in Almaty.
At the same time he noted, "specific date and volume of borrowing will be
determined a little".
"In issue, - Zh. Ertayev continued, - the bank will be guided by concrete
situation in the international capital market".
In this connection he did not exclude that in case of "serious volatility in
foreign markets", caused, particularly, by increase of rate by Federal reserve
system of USA, the bank's plans on issue of eurobonds may be "essentially
corrected".
As it was informed, at prescheduled meeting held on September 28 the
bank's shareholders decided to increase till the end of the year foreign
liabilities additionally by $200 m. through attraction of syndicated loan and
issue of eurobonds in the international capital markets.
In the beginning of the year Alliance bank approved for 2005 plan to attract
borrowings at foreign capital markets in the volume of $500 m.
Zh. Ertayev also informed, that international business edition Euromoney
noted Alliance bank in two nominations - The best bank on servicing of
population and Leading bank on corporate management.
Particularly, he noted, Euromoney experts noted merits of Alliance bank in
retail business, connected with active development of retail net and efficient
collaboration with state company Kazpost, this allowed to make banking
products available for rural population of the republic.
At the same time, giving Alliance bank the second nomination, analysts of
the edition noted transparency in bank's ruling and efficiency of its
management.
Particularly, deputy chairman of the board of Alliance bank Nurtaza Baitenov
participated at press conference, informed, that at present time in the frame
of corporate management development the bank chooses independent
director, which will be included in the bank's board of directors.
"We have very high requirements: independent director should have good
experience and reputation, that is why now we are negotiating, and we in
nearest time expect, that such appointment will happen", - he stressed.
Along with this, Zh. Ertayev informed, the other day business edition The
Banker included Alliance bank in the list of 200 leading Asian banks. Main
criteria for analysts of the magazine became dynamic of growth on key
financial indicators. Alliance bank took in this list 188th place on capital size
and 194th - on assets size.
Alliance bank is one of the five big banks of the republic. The bank's assets
as of October 1, 2005 equaled to KZT228.306 bn. ($1.706 bn.),
shareholders' equity - KZT27.096 bn. ($202.465 m.). Growth of deposits of
individuals within eight months equaled to KZT10.6 bn., this is 2 times more,
than for the similar period of 2004.
By the results of the current year the bank intends to increase volume of
assets to KZT250 bn., and also to increase volume of crediting of retail
business to nearly KZT45 bn., deposits - to KZT40 bn.
At present time net of Alliance bank calculates 12 branches and 44 cash
settlement divisions in 15 cities of Kazakhstan.
