/REUTERS, Moscow, October 11, 05/ - Kazakhstan's Bank Caspian sold
$150 million worth of three-year Eurobonds with a yield of 8 percent, a
source at lead manager Citigroup said on Tuesday.
The bonds sold with a reoffer price of 99.672 and a coupon of 7.875 percent.
The bond matures on Oct. 17, 2008.
The size of the bond was larger than the $100 million the bank said it was
planning to borrow earlier this year. On Feb. 4, chief executive officer Sanat
Iskakov said the bank would borrow a total of $200 million in 2005 through
various instruments. It has received a $40 million syndicated loan from
foreign banks already.
Fitch Ratings gave a 'B+' rating on the bank's debut Eurobond, matching its
long-term rating with a stable outlook. Moody's rates the bank at 'Ba2'.
