Growth of Kazakhstan industrial production in January-August, 2005/2004 slowed down to 4.5% - statistics agency

/REUTERS, Almaty, September 12, 04/ - Kazakhstan statistics agency says
in January-August of 2005 industrial production growth rates in Kazakhstan
slowed down more than 2 times - to 4.5%, from 9.8% in January-August of
last year.
Volume of industrial production in current prices in January-August equaled
to KZT3,197 bn. (about $23.8 bn.).
Falling of production was observed in iron ore extraction and in steel rolling.
Oil production remained in last year's level.
