From the next week landowners of Pavlodar oblast will get fuel by reduced price from PPCP for harvesting campaign

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Pavlodar, August 5, 05/ - From the next week
agriculture producers of Pavlodar oblast of Kazakhstan (on the north) will get
cheap fuel from Pavlodar petroleum chemical plant JSC (PPCP), destined to
provide harvesting campaign.
As oblast agriculture department informed on Friday to Interfax-Kazakhstan
agency, it is planned to give landowners of the region for harvesting 20 th.
fuel by KZT30.9 th. (current 135.45/$1) per tone. Market cost of fuel tone is
KZT45-47 th.
As it was informed, this week PPCP will resume operation in usual regime
after planned two-month repair works.
Department noted, this year agriculture sowing area in Pavlodar oblast is
971.8 th. hectares (102.4% to the level of 2004), including cereals sowings
588.9 th. hectares (102.1% correspondingly).
By preliminary estimations, average cereals yield this year will be nearly 6
centners from hectare.
According to information of the department, harvesting campaign will equip
1910 combines. This year in the frame of government leasing program
oblast farms got 56 new combines. All 7 elevators are ready to accept grain
of new harvest.
In connection that Pavlodar oblast is in zone of risky agriculture, agriculture
producers set goals to provide, first of all, own oblast's demands in grain,
department reminded.
In 2004 in the oblast 354.9 th. tons of grain were threshed.
This year for realization of agriculture food program the oblast got KZT2.2
bn.
In Pavlodar oblast live nearly 750 th. people.
