Mobile banking services of Halyk savings bank of Kazakhstan JSC now available through Dalacom and PAThWORD connections

/IRBIS, Andrey Tsalyuk, July 22, 05/ - On July 25, 2005 Halyk savings bank
of Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty, hereinafter - Halyk bank) and cell operator
ALTEL JSC (Almaty) with Dalacom and PAThWORD brands announced
launching of joint project - Mobile banking system. In the frame of this
system users of Dalacom and PAThWORD connections got opportunity on a
twenty-four hour basis to monitor cash flow on banking account in Halyk
bank with the help of own mobile telephone.
This was told in joint companies' press release, spread today.
Halyk bank provides this service in the frame of pilot project with VISA
International - "Mobile bank - Verified by Visa" for all clients - holders of
international banking cards. Project's system integrator is Intervale company.
Thus, Kazakhstan operator ALTEL JSC became the first CDMA-operator on
CIS territory, connected to this service.
On April 19, 2005 Halyk bank became the first bank in Kazakhstan, who has
launched mobile service of such level. At present the service is available on
all bank's cards for users of CDMA-operator mobile connection of ALTEL
JSC (Dalacom, PAThWORD) and GSM-operator "Kar-tel" LLP, working in
Kazakhstan under "Beeline", "K-mobile" and "Excess" trade marks.
