Net profit of Bank CenterCredit JSC (Kazakhstan) in the first half of 2005 is 82.2%

/IRBIS, Ranida Gabdeyeva, July 25, 05/ - Bank CenterCredit JSC (Almaty), whose shares and bonds are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's official "A" listing category, today spread press-release containing financial indicators of the bank's activity in the second quarter of 2005. The release says bank's assets as of July 1 of 2005 were KZT224.4 bn., having increased since July 1 of 2004 by 86%. Equity capital in that period grew by 77% to KZT16.8 bn. "This indicator grew due to growth of total amount of undistributed income by KZT3.4 bn. and paid authorized capital by KZT3.9 bn.", - the release says. According to results of the first quarter of 2005 the bank earned net profit amounting to KZT2.1 bn. that is more by 82.8% than in similar period of last year. Loan portfolio grew by 97% or KZT150.2 bn. As of July 1 of 2005 the bank had 19 branches and 104 cash-settlement offices all over Kazakhstan. Bank CenterCredit JSC has Ва1 long-term rating on bank deposits in foreign currency assigned by Moody's Investors Service Inc. and B+ assigned by Fitch Ratings Ltd. On June 13 of 2005 Bank CenterCredit JSC signed an agreement with ING Wholesale Banking and Deutsche Bank AG, about prolonging and increasing of the syndicated loan, which the bank had borrowed in June of 2004 for a total of $45 m. After the successful main and general stage of organization of the syndicated loan total amount of applications from potential creditors exceeded $140 m. The bank decided to borrow an optimal amount of $125 m. Period of this loan prolonging is 12 months, the rate is LIBOR + 2%. [2005-07-25]
