KazTransOil elaborated five-year development program for main oil pipeline

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, July 13, 05/ - Kazakhstan state company on oil transportation KazTransOil (subsidiary of national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas) elaborated project of development program for main oil pipeline system for 2006-2010. "We presented the program to KazTransOil, now it is approved", - informed deputy general director of KazTransOil JSC on production Berik Sayakhov at press conference on Wednesday in Astana. As company's press release notes, spread in the course of press conference, purpose of this program is complex reconstruction, change and expansion of existing production assets of KazTransOil JSC, and also realization of investment projects, connected with construction of new export routes. Program's basis, according to press release, is results of full-scale diagnosis of company's production assets condition. "To maintain pipelines in working condition we need nearly KZT111 bn.", - informed deputy director of KazTransOil on economics and finance Serikbek Yelshibekov, who participated in press conference. Current rate - 135.81/$1. "The figure is still to be specified, as all these measures will be coordinated with KazMunaiGas", - noted he. KazTransOil exploits in the republic more than 6400 km of main oil pipelines and 3140 sluices. The company has 39 transfer pump stations. Total volume of oil storage of reservoir park is 1 m. 200 th. cubic meters. The company is monopolist at the market of services on pipeline transportation of oil, executing transportation of nearly 80% of produced oil in Kazakhstan. [2005-07-13]
