VITA JSC (Kazakhstan) informed about some results of its activity

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, June 29, 05/ - VITA JSC (Almaty), whose bonds are included in the official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), today spread press release about some results of company's activity. Particularly, it is stressed that on June 10, 2005 the company was evaluated and registered as corresponding to standard of quality ISO 9001 (version of 2000) - certificate #40038. Field of application of registration: production and sale of food vegetable oil and butter, mayonnaise, protein products of deep processing of soy, food and stern sprat and cake. As message says, introduction of ISQ ISO 9001:2000 by VITA JSC started in 2004, and in May of this year the company successfully completed auditors inspection of international organization on standardization Moody International Certification. On June 24, 2005 VITA JSC paid credit before time, granted by European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) jointly with Bank CenterCredit JSC in 2004. Amount of credit was $6 m. and was given for purchase of soybeans, assistance to farmers. Credit was granted under security of grain receipts, guaranteed by Guaranteeing Fund for execution of obligations on grain receipts. Press release also informs that in April 2005 in Almaty oblast scientific research selection seed-growing center Alma seeds LLP with sown area 1,040 hectares was established, big participant of which is VITA JSC. Main purposes of this center are development and storage of gene pool of soybeans, selection and soy seed growing. Result of sale of the above project will be improvement of old and elaboration of new methods of selection, directed for acceleration of new sorts, decrease of vegetation period, increase of potential productivity, and also production of sorts of soy with high productivity for farmers of Kazakhstan. Selection works and division into districts of the most acceptable sorts of foreign selection will also be held for increase of yield. Sorts and hybrids will thoroughly by divided into districts depending upon demand for production, quality of soil, moisture, rotation system and level of chemicalixation. At present time 33 hectares of super-elite seeds of soy and 800 hectares of elite seeds are sown.
