Vostok-Cement OJSC (Kazakhstan) informed about results of its activity - press release

/Vostok-Cement OJSC, June 17, 05/ - Vostok-Cement OJSC was acknowledged as a first-rate issuer of promissory notes by the National Bank of RK. Specially for Vostok-Cement OJSC promissory note program for total amount KZT400 m. was organized. Financial Company Greenwich Capital Management JSC was a financial consultant of promissory notes issue. Centras Securities JSC organized further purchase and circulation of promissory notes at secondary market. Stake of Vostok-Cement OJSC at cement market in May 2005 was 25%. For the first time in last 15 years 100 thousand border of monthly shipment from Bukhtarminsk cement company (more than 105,000 tons) was overpassed. More than 21,000 tones of cement are imported from cement plants of Russian and Uzbekistan and further realized through sales net of Vostok- Cement OJSC. In May 2005 consumption of cement in the republic grew by 25.3% in comparison with similar period of last year to nearly 0.5 m. tons. From January to May 2005 consumption of cement in the republic grew by 28% in comparison with similar period of last year to nearly 1.5 m. tons. [2005-06-17]
