SSPU JSC (Kazakhstan) reported on activities in 4 months of 2005

/IRBIS, Natalya Kouznetsova, April 5, 05/ - Sokolovskoe -Sarbayskoe production unit" (SSPU JSC, Roudnyi, Kostanai oblast.) with shares included in official securities list of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) under "A" category released the announcement saying that in beginning from the current year the Company boosted ore and marketable commodity production compared to corresponding period of 2004. The announcement states that beginning from the year, the Company led out 12 m th tons from its sites, up 8.4% relative to similar period of the last year (11,080 th of crude ore). In January - April of the current year miners refined crude metal ore for a total of 12,020 th tons which is 8.4 pct up from previous year's same period result. Over the same period of 2004 the company refined 11,086 th tons of crude ore. Beginning from the year-start the Unit produced 5.041 m tons of marketable ore, 5.7% up from the last year's same period result, which totaled 7,768 th. tons. The company informs in the named period marketable ore available fore sale increased and totaled 4,585 th tons. In this year the Company produced 4,861 th tons of ore pellets and marketable concentrates, up by 6% to corresponding period of 2004. Delivery of finished produce to customers for the last four months also rose. In Jan-April period of the last year the unit delivered around 4,301 th tons of ore, while in first four months the delivery totaled 4,415 th tons, up by 2.7%. Main customers of SSPU's output include Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant OJSC, Tchelyabinck metallurgical plant OJSC (Russia), Kazakhstan-based Mittal Steel Temirtau JSC as well as Chinese operators.
