In the first 4 months of 2005 volume of GS purchase and sale transactions at KASE reached KZT214.6 billion and rose 7.7%

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, May 4, 05/ - In the first 4 months of 2005, volume of government securities (GS) purchase and sale transactions made at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), including bonds of domestic executive bodies, reached KZT214,566.8 m. ($1,640.3 m.) and increased 7.7% relative to similar period of last year. In the whole 2004 the volume of corresponding transactions on GS at KASE was KZT753,102.8 m. ($5,558.6 m.).
