Kazmunaygas increased oil output by 14% in January of 2005

/REUTERS, Almaty, Tatyana Seroshtanova, February 18, 05/ - Kazakhstan state oil and gas company Kazmunaygas increased oil and condensate output in January of 2005 by 13.8% in comparison with similar period of last year, to 768,000 tonnes, company said. "Oil output grew due to new intensive technologies", - company's press- release says. Volume of petroleum refining at Atyrau PR in January grew to 222,000 tonnes having exceeded similar indicator of last year by 25.1%. 148,000 tonnes were delivered to the plant from resources of Kazmunaygas. Oil products output has also grown: gasoline - by 42.3%, diesel fuel - by 14.1%, mazut - by 89.6%. "In 2005 volume of oil refining will total 2,600,000 tonnes, including oil from resources of Kazmunaygas JSC 1,700,000 tonnes", - the document says. Volume of oil transportation expected to be received in 2005 on the level of 36.574 m. tonnes grew in January by 83,000 tonnes to 3.084 m. Gas transportation by trunk gas pipelines of Intergas Central Asia CJSC in January of 2005 fell by 1.03 bn. cubic meters to 10.5 bn. because of falling of volumes of Turkmen gas tranzit. Company's revenues grew in January by 4.8% to KZT36.9 bn. (about $283 m.).
