KASE determined leading operators of the exchange's GS purchase-sale sector in January of 2005

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, February 2, 05/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange
(KASE) composed the list of companies - leading operators of the exchange's
market of government securities (GS) purchase-sale in January of 2005.
Companies are ranked according to the stake of deals made by it in aggregate
gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold bonds). The position of
each participant is expressed in the currency of payments - tenge.
A total of 34 companies, excluding National Bank, participated in trades with
GS at KASE in January. Below is the list of 10 most active operators in
descending order of their stakes in total deals volume (companies'
headquarters are in Almaty) and their positions in December of 2004.
