KASE determined leading operators of the exchange's currency market in Janaury 2005

/IRBIS, Sergey Yakovlev, February 1, 05/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange
(KASE) has determined list of second tier banks - leading operators of the
exchange's foreign currency market in Kazakhstan in January of 2005.
Bank's position in the list is given according to the stake of deals made by it
in total gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold foreign
currency) in US dollar, euro and Russian ruble in KASE's trade system. At
that, position of each bank was expressed in total tenge equivalent at the
current rate of each concluded transaction.
A total of 26 second tier banks participated in making of deals at KASE.
Below is the list of ten most active of them, given in descending order of
their stakes in total deals volume (all headquarters are in Almaty).
