FSA of Kazakhstan characterized the republic's corporate securities market as of December 1

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, December 15, 04/ - Kazakhstan agency for financial
market and financial organizations regulation and supervision (FSA) in its
scheduled press-release dedicated to the condition of the republic's financial
market gives information about development of Kazakhstan corporate
securities market in November of 2004.
In particular FSA informs that as of December 1 of 2004 there were
registered 3,23 joint-stock companies with acting share issues in
Kazakhstan. 56 broker-dealers, 19 registrars, 10 banks-custodians, 10
pension assets investment management organizations (PAIMO) and 14
organizations controlling securities portfolios acted at securities market.
In November of 2004 there were registered 25 share issues and 3 corporate
bond issues with total face value of KZT6.65 bn., 45 share issues were
annulled. As of December 1 of 2004 there were 3,203 acting share issues
and 96 acting corporate bond issues with total face value of KZT333.7 bn. in
circulation.
In November three new issues - the first issue international notes of Halyk
savings bank of Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty) and the seventh and the eighth
issue mortgage bonds of Kazakhstan Mortgage Company JSC (Almaty)
were included in the official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan stock
exchange Inc. (here and afterwards - data of IRBIS). Within the mentioned
period 1 new instrument - common shares of Almatinskiy Sakhar (Almaty
oblast, Karabulak settlement) of the third and the fourth issues were included
in KASE's official "B" listing category.
The message says that in November of 2004 the resolutions of FSA's Board
concerning the securities market was made - "About inclusion of changes
and additions in the resolution of the Board of Kazakhstan agency for
financial market and financial organizations regulation and supervision dated
March 15 of 2004 #63 "About requirements for issuers and their securities,
which are admitted (were admitted) to circulation at the stock exchange, and
also to separate categories of the stock exchange's list.
