Euromoney called RG Brands the best Kazakhstan company in 2004

As the press-release says, within four months experts and analysts of Euromoney researched the condition of corporate governance in the biggest companies of countries with developing economies. According to results of the research there were marked 234 companies, the best in the context of corporate governance principles. Companies were estimated by the following parameters: financial transparency, organizational structure, management system, system of relationship with investors and shareholders (following of minority shareholders rights, investors rights safety, presenting of trustworthy information to shareholders and investors about company's activity and so on), company's position at the market, innovative character of company's activity and employees professionalism. "The acknowledgement of RG Brands evidences that improvement of corporate governance system and transparency of all processes give success of business and promote to strengthening of trust of foreign investors in domestic business and in the country", - says the release. "Companies recognized by Euromoney as leaders in corporate governance have shown themselves as very strong players at the market, which carry on business in compliance with the best international standards of corporate governance and transparency", - said M. Born. The release says in this year the company plans to increase total sales volume to over KZT13 bn. (130.45/$1) from over KZT9 bn. in 2003. At present RG Brands JSC comprises RG Brands plant on juice production, Pepsi Cola Bottlers plant on gas drinks production, Tea Land LLP, distribution company Uni Commerce Ltd, Dairy produce plant Kosmis. Production capacities of the company's enterprises produce every year up to 30 m. liters of juices and juice containing products, up to 80 m. liters of gas drinks, 3 m. kilogram of tea, optimal capacity of milk processing is about 30 th. tons a year. In the past Pepsi Cola Bottlers increased its stake at the market from 14% to 17%, Tea Land - from 5% to 13%, RG Brands plant - from 15% to 21%.
