Oil export of Kazakhstan in January-August of 2004 grew 17% up to 33.5 m tons

/REUTERS, Almaty, October 12, 04/ - Export of oil and gas condensate from
Kazakhstan in January-August of 2004 increased 17% up to 33.5 m tons,
including CIS countries - 4.248 m tomes, informed Kazakhstan Statistics agency.
In monetary terms volume of export of oil and gas condensate in January-
August of 2004 increased 43% up to $6.371 bn.
In 2003 Kazakhstan increased extraction of oil and gas condensate up to
51.4 m tons from 47.2 m tons one year before.
Total volume of Kazakhstan export in January-August of 2004 rose 45% up
to $11.826 bn in comparison with similar period of previous year. Trade
balance is positive in the amount of $3.857 bn.
The stake of mineral products in Kazakhstan export structure in January-
August of 2003 equaled to 65%.
