SSGPO looks for investor to participate in $350 m project

Kazakh Sokolovsk-Sarbai ore-mining and processing company (SSGPO) seeks an investor for construction of metallized and rolled briquettes capacity. Total cost of the project is $350 m. Russian news sources quoted representative of Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant as saying that they were discussing with SSGPO construction of metallized briquettes production plant in Kazakhstan, a base raw material for production of steel. SSGPO refused to give comments on the information. Project capacity of the plant is estimated to be around 1.5-2.0 m tons of briquettes.
