Alliance Bank JSC (Kazakhstan) about main results of activity as of July 1 of this year

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, July 19, 04/ - Alliance Bank JSC (Almaty) has spread press-release, which contains main results of the bank's activity in this year as of July 1. It's informed that bank's assets grew since the beginning of the year by KZT14 bn. to KZT64.5 bn. (in the first half-year of 2003 bank's assets grew by KZT12 bn.). Major reason of the bank's assets growth was growth of the credit portfolio by KZT9 bn. to KZT41 bn. as of July 1. In the credit portfolio stake of credit given to physical persons grew from 10.2% to 13.1%. Bank's liabilities equaled by the mentioned date to KZT60 bn. having increased since the beginning of the year by KZT13 bn. (in the first half-year of 2003 they grew by KZT10.7 bn.). Changes occurring in the first half-year of 2004 are connected with growth of deposit base. Thus, deposit portfolio grew by KZT4 bn. to KZT40 bn. by the reporting date. Term deposits of physical persons grew by KZT3.5 bn. in comparison with KZT3 bn. within similar period of last year. Bank's net profit for the first six months of 2004 equaled to KZT383 m. in comparison with KZT163 m. within similar period of 2003. At that, growth rates of the net profit of Alliance Bank JSC exceeds growth rates of total net profit of the country's banking system - 235.7% against 151.2% as the whole on banking system. Client base of Alliance Bank JSC in the first six months of 2004 grew by 130% и total number of bank's clients exceeded 55,000. Number of clients grew in great degree due to physical persons, and, first of all, term deposits users. According to estimations of the bank's specialists, since the beginning of the year bank's stake at physical persons term deposits market has significantly grown and equals to more than 4% of the market. By this indicator Alliance Bank JSC firmly holds the sixth position in Kazakhstan. At present Alliance Bank JSC is represented in 11 cities of Kazakhstan. In the nearest days a representatives with the status of cash-settlement office will be opened in Taldykorgan, and before the end of the summer - two new branches in the west and in the north of the country.
