Export of oil from Kazakhstan in Jan-May of 2004 grew by 28% to 21.6 m. tons

/REUTERS, Almaty, July 13, 04/ - Export of oil and gas condensate from
Kazakhstan in January-May of 2004 increased by 28% to 21.625 m. tons,
informed Kazakhstan Statistics agency.
In monetary terms volume of export of oil and gas condensate in January-
May of 2004 increased by 40% to $3.763 bn.
In 2003 Kazakhstan increased extraction of oil and gas condensate up to
51.4 m. tons from 47.2 m. tons one year before.
Total volume of Kazakhstan export in January-May of 2004 rose by 42% in
comparison with similar period of previous year to $7.040 bn. Trade balance
is positive in the amount of $2.532 bn.
The stake of mineral products in Kazakhstan export structure in January-
May of 2003 equaled to 65%.
