Export of oil from Kazakhstan in Jan-Apr 2004 grew by 34% to 17.96 m. tons

/REUTERS, Almaty, June 14, 04/ - Export of oil and gas condensate from
Kazakhstan in January-MArch of 2004 increased by 34% to 17.956 m. tons,
including to CIS countries - to 2.480,0 m. tons, informed Kazakhstan
Statistics agency.
In monetary terms volume of export of oil and gas condensate in January-
April of 2004 increased by 45% to $3.076 bn.
In 2003 Kazakhstan increased extraction of oil and gas condensate up to
51.4 m. tons from 47.2 m. tons one year before.
Total volume of Kazakhstan export in January-April of 2004 rose by 43% in
comparison with similar period of previous year to $5.6 bn. Trade balance is
positive in the amount of $2.126 bn.
The stake of mineral products in Kazakhstan export structure in January-
April of 2003 equaled to 66%.
