Trade Finance Magazine: Deal of the Year 2003 - NC KTZ JSC and ABN AMRO BANK N.V.

/KASE, May 4, 04/ - National company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (NC KTZ JSC, Astana), whose bonds are circulating under official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, informed KASE that Trade Finance Magazine part of Euromoney edition group recognized a loan granted by ABN AMRO BANK N.V. to national rail road operator under guarantee of Export- import bank (USA) as a Deal of 2003. Loan was granted to finance a purchase of 54 diesel-generator devices for modernization of 27 main-line locomotives. NC KTZ JSC informed that loan amounts to $32.4m with 8-year redemption term and Libor 6M + 0.13% APR interest rate. The press release also marked that Export-import bank of USA has for the first time approved the loan without guarantee of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. [2004-05-04]
