Oil extraction at Alibekmola field will grow 2 times in 2004

/Kazakhstan today, February 24, 04/ - KazakhOil-Aktobe LLP, in which national oil and gas company KazMunayGas and Canadian Nelson Resources Ltd. own by 50% of shares each, in 2004 plans to extract at Alibekmola field (Aktyubinsk oblast) 1 m. tons of oil. Chairman of the board, chief executive director of this company Nick Zana informed about it a correspondent of KZ-today in the interview. Thus, according to his words, it's planned in this year to increase more than two times oil extraction at Alibekmola, where 420 th. tons of oil were extracted last year. According to Zana's words, at present daily extraction at the field is 2.4 th. tons. He also confirmed company's intention to extract here about 3 m. tons of oil by 2007-2008. Besides, as the has chairman informed, in December of last year hydrocarbons extraction has also begun at Kozhasay field, which is also developed by KazakhOil-Aktobe LLP.
