National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC plans to get a new contract for uranium mining

/KASE, June 26, 2023/ – National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC (Astana), with its securities officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided the KASE with a press release dated June 26, 2023, stating the following: beginning of the quote National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC (hereinafter – "Kazatomprom" or "Company") plans to start developing a new area of the uranium deposit. Subject to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Subsoil and Subsoil Use", direct negotiations were held between Kazatomprom and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to obtain subsoil use rights for site No. 3 of the Inkai field. The subsoil use contract will be signed for a period of 25 years based on design documents being developed, including a pilot production period. In order to mine uranium, it is planned to build production facilities at site No. 3 of the Inkai deposit with a maximum capacity of 4,000 tons of uranium per year. The Inkai deposit is located in Suzak District of Turkestan Region.
