On June 22, 2023, Kazakhtelecom JSC and Azertelecom Int. Ltd signed a
Shareholders' Agreement on establishment of a joint venture for the construction
and operation of the Trans-Caspian Fiber-Optic Communication Line (FOCL)
along the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan route along the bottom of the Caspian Sea,
which is part of the large-scale Digital Silk Way project.
