National Bank has confirmed report about results of floatation of the 2nd issue shares of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC

/KASE, December 30, 03/ - Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (Astana),
whose bonds are circulating in the official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan
stock exchange CJSC (KASE), has informed KASE that on December 8 of 2003
National Bank of Kazakhstan confirmed report about results of floatation of the
bank's 2nd issue shares.
The 2nd shares issue of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC with total face
value of KZT7.7 bn. consisting of 154,000 common shares was registered by the
National Bank of on September 30 of 2003 and included in the State securities
register under the number А4781-1.
According to the bank's information its shares of that issue were purchased by
Kazakhstan Government at the expense of the republican budget.
Primary activity - rendering of banking services (except attracting of deposits
and opening of accounts for physical and juridical entities, excluding opening
and maintaining of accounts of conditional deposits, reserve accounts in
compliance with agreements on loans that are guaranteed by the state, bank
accounts for registering the bank's loans, other loans and funds of the
republican and local budgets, in order to make payments and money transfers,
which are provided by agreements, which have been made in compliance with
investment projects and export operations, which are served by the bank).
