/KASE, January 11, 2023/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) notifies that
following a decision of the Committee on Indices and Indicators of
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) dated January 10, 2023, common shares
KZ1C00001122 (KASE main market, "standard" category, KMGZ) of National
company "KazMunayGas" JSC (Astana) will be included in the
representative list for calculation of KASE Index from February 3, 2023.
When including these shares in the representative list, members of the
Committee took into account the following facts, which, in their opinion, allow
considering common shares of National company "KazMunayGas" JSC as
potentially liquid.
1. As part of the implementation of the government program "People's IPO"
National Company "KazMunayGas" JSC issued 16,353,049 of these shares
through KASE's trading system by subscription method, in the amount of
KZT137.5 bn. 20 members of the stock market took part in the offering,
through which orders were executed for the following amounts:
- KZT12.1 bn (8.8 % of the offering volume) – for legal entities;
- KZT55.3 bn (40.2 % of the offering volume) – for institutional investors;
- KZT70.1 bn (51.0 % of the offering volume on KASE) – for individuals.
2. During 16 trading days in December 2022, from the date of resumption of
trading, the following trading indicators were formed for KMGZ shares on
KASE's secondary market (from December 8):
- the volume amounted to KZT22,646.5 bn (68.5 % of the total volume of
transactions with shares of the official list for the period from December
8 to 30, 2022),
- number of successful days – 100 %,
- number of participants – 20.
