Surplus of Kazakhstan current account in the I half-year of 2003 - $492 m.

/REUTERS, Almaty, October 14, 03/ - Surplus of current account of Kazakhstan payment balance in the I half-year of 2003 equaled to $491.8 million in comparison with deficit equaling to $138.85 million one year before, informed Kazakhstan statistics agency with reference to the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Chairman of the National Bank Grigory Marchenko informed in August that, according to preliminary data, surplus of the current account had equaled in the first half-year to $560 m.
