NAC Kazatomprom (Kazakhstan) will not pay dividends for 2002

/KASE, October 3, 03/ - NAC Kazatomprom (Almaty), whose bonds are circulating in the official "А" listing category of Kazakhstan stock exchange CJSC (KASE), has presented KASE the copy of the order of the only shareholder of the company - Ministry of energy and mineral resources of Kazakhstan dated September 26 of 2003 #194 "About confirmation of results of financial and economic activity of NAC Kazatomprom CJSC for 2002. According to the presented document, in compliance with the legislative acts, company's charter and protocol of the Board of directors dated August 5 of 2003 the only shareholder of NAC Kazatomprom has ordered: - confirm the company's annual financial statement and conclusion of the auditing commission about authenticity of the company's annual financial statement for 2002; - distribute the company's net income equaling to KZT1,952,535 th. in the following way: spend KZT1,757,281 th. for development of production and financial and economic needs, for production and technical re-equipment, development of production and infrastructure for stabilization of financial and economic position and restoring of production activity of MAEC-Kazatomprom LLP - KZT195,254 th.; - not to accrue dividends for 2002 on shares; - not to accrue interest and compensation to the company's officials, including members of the Board of directors. Company's primary activities: carrying out functions of the nationals operator on export and import and its compounds, nuclear fuel for atomic power stations, special equipment and technologies, materials of double usage.
