The Board of Directors of ForteBank has approved the candidacy of Reinis
Rubenis as a Chairman of the Management Board. Sholpan Nurumbetova, who
has been acting as Chairman of the Management Board since August 1, 2021, will
continue to work as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and a member of
the Management Board.
Reinis Rubenis has been working in the financial markets of Europe for the last
25 years, and is known as an experienced and effective manager who leads
companies to leadership positions. For the last 14 years, Reinis has worked at
the largest bank in Latvia, Swedbank, 5 of which as Chairman of the Management
Board. Reinis was also a member of the Board of Directors of Nasdaq Latvia and a
member of the Board of Directors of the Latvian Central Securities Depository.
Under the leadership of Mr. Rubenis, the Swedbank team became the leader of
the Latvian market in terms of assets and number of clients, successfully
implemented digital financial services and managed to build the country's
strongest HR brand.
The new CEO will focus on the main strategic directions - improving the
efficiency of processes and increasing the speed of delivery of new services to
the market. An important basis for the upcoming changes will be the evolution
in the management of customer experience, the development of the corporate
culture of the European Institute, as well as the construction of partnership
programs with local and global companies.
